Locanda dell'Amorosa Sinalunga

The Locanda dell'Amorosa is located in what was once a tiny medieval farming community, occupying a fascinating group of buildings dating back to the 14th century and set in the stunningly beautiful Tuscan landscape overlooking the Chiana valley.

Guest rooms are situated in the old manor house. Each one of the hotel's bedrooms has its own individual character and design. Traditional country décor has been cleverly combined with a careful selection of period furniture, prints and paintings. A number of the rooms lead directly out in to the gardens whilst others afford stunning views of the Sienese countryside or the picturesque quadrangle at the heart of the complex. A large swimming pool is located in the gardens.

The Locanda dell'Amorosa's "Le Coccole dell'Amorosa" restaurant has been created in the ancient out buildings which once served as the cattle byres for the famous white Chianina cows. The excellent seasonal menus are all inspired by the great culinary traditions of the Tuscan countryside and by the simple but intense flavours of the Mediterranean. The hotel's wine cellar houses a superb selection of Tuscan and other regional Italian wines. The estate's full bodied '"Borgo Amorosa" and the lighter "Rosso dell'Amorosa" provide the perfect accompaniment to the traditional Tuscan fare served.

The hotel's "Osteria" stocks a range of high quality products made in the area, allowing guests to take home not only the memories, but also the flavours of Tuscany; from world famous wines such as Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, to Ricotta and Pecorino cheese, Salami, honey, and marmalade.

A fully equipped function room with a seating capacity for 40 makes the Locanda dell'Amorosa the chosen venue for small business meetings and intimate social events.

By Car: coming from any direction to Sinalunga, the Amorosa is well indicated by the road signs. It is 1,5 Km from the centre of town, located along the road linking Sinalunga to Torrita di Siena (SS n° 326)
From Florence or Rome: Take Autosole A1 motorway to the Valdichiana exit. Follow the signs to Sinalunga. Once arrived in town follow the signs to Chiusi and Chianciano. It is 8 km from the tollbooth.
From Siena or Perugia: either from the Siena-Bettolle highway or the Perugia Siena highway, exit at Sinalunga. Follow the signs to Chiusi and Chianciano. It is 2 km from the exit.

By train: there is also a train station in Sinalunga with quick and comfortable transportation to Chiusi (about half hour), from which one can arrive in Rome in a little more than an hour.
