Villa Sassolini Historical Residences Moncioni

Villa Sassolini Moncioni

Villa Sassolini is situated in the ancient village of Borgo Moncioni, on the border of the Arno Valley and overlooking the celebrated Chianti countryside.
The Villa, built in the 14th century, and once the summer residence of important Florentine families such as the Conti Guidi, has been the subject of an extensive restoration project and transformed in superb hotel and restaurant. Within the ancient walls of Villa Sassolini a fabulous design hotel has been created, featuring stylish and elegantly low-key contemporary interiors in soothing ecru and warm earthy tones.
At Villa Sassolini, soft stone steps and wooden floors lead through rooms the walls of which are decorated with little more than the occasional black and white print, well stocked book cases and large mirrors reflecting the light entering through windows hung with diaphanous white drapes.

The 10 suites of the hotel, many with beautiful natural timber ceilings, offer the maximum in modern comfort and afford stunning views over the Borgo, the gardens of the villa and the undulating hillside of Tuscany's Chianti region.
The restaurant of Villa Sassolini serves fabulous contemporary cuisine, inspired by age old Tuscan culinary traditions. The hotel's wine cellar houses an impressive number of local and Italian wines.
The poolside and gardens of the hotel provide the perfect venue for summer wine and champagne tastings.
