Villa Cicolina Montepulciano - Tuscany

Villa Cicolina enjoys an enviable position immersed in the countryside of Tuscany, close to the medieval hilltop town of Montepulciano. Now a charming hotel, Villa Cicolina still contains a great number of its original architectural and decorative features including ornate frescoes, period paintings and antique furnishings.

Guests should be certain to visit the ancient underground caverns linked by a series of tunnels which, it is believed, were of Etruscan origin, and are still filled with the old wine casks which once contained the region's liquid gold; the much prized Nobile di Montepulciano.
