Il Falconiere is a charming relais situated in the peaceful countryside immediately outside the town of Cortona. An old villa, a farmhouse and other small outbuildings have been transformed so as to create beautifully appointed guest accommodation in just twenty bedrooms and suites. The careful restoration work, supervised by owners, Silvia and Riccardo Baracchi, has ensured that the building's original charm remain intact. Nearly all of the frescoes, architectural features and decorative works date back to the time of the edifice's construction.

A wonderfully peaceful atmosphere pervades each and every corner of the property. Excellent Tuscan cuisine is served at Relais Il Falconiere's restaurant, awarded a Michelin Star in recognition of its superlative food and faultless service. The restaurant has three dining rooms: the "Limonaia", with seating capacity for 60 guests; a more intimate room with just five tables; and the unique little "Sala dei Orologi" (clock's room), home to just one table. During the warm summer months, Relais il Falconiere's large panoramic terrace provides a charming outdoor venue where to enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner. The wine cellar houses a selection of the finest Italian wines, including those produced by the Baracchi winery. Professional wine tastings and cooking courses are available on request.

Il Falconiere's new Thesan Etruscan spa offers a fabulous range of massages and luxurious face and body treatments using a completely natural range of products prepared using Tuscany's grapes, olives, lavender and honey. Spa facilities include a sauna, Turkish bath and indoor-outdoor pool.
