Pieve a Pava Bed & Breakfast
Pieve a Pava San Giovanni d'Asso
A luxury guesthouse surrounded by the breathtakingly beautiful countryside of the Val d'Asso, Pieve a Pava is a charming home-away-from-home, ideal for those travelers eager to experience life in the heart of Tuscany. Pieve a Pava occupies an old medieval church, a priest's house, and a farmhouse which, in the 1980's, the current proprietors restored and transformed into their own private Tuscan retreat, where they could enjoy the peace of the Crete Senesi in the company of artists and friends.
Today, Rita and Johny have converted their home into a stylish guesthouse, offering accommodation in just five individually appointed bedrooms. Simply furnished, in traditional Tuscan country style, the rooms are equipped with an excellent range of hotel-standard amenities, including free mini bar and fabulous Etro toiletries.
When not off exploring the countryside of Val d'Asso or the nearby towns of San Giovanni d'Asso, Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino', holidaymakers staying at Pieve a Pava might easily be found lazing in the guesthouse's gardens enjoying the panoramic views, relaxing on one of the sun drenched terraces, or taking a dip in the chlorine-free swimming pool. Each day, as the sun sets, a typical Tuscan aperitif is served by the pool or, in cooler weather, in the living room, by the welcoming fire.
Three days a week, Pieve a Pava transforms into a veritable haven for lovers of good food and wine. Sitting at the large dining table, guests are treated to delicious Tuscan cuisine, prepared using the finest of locally-sourced ingredients, and accompanied by a selection of the very best of the region's wines. The owners' passion for gourmet cuisine has led to them organize a series of highly acclaimed cooking courses, which include master classes held by Michelin Star chefs. Pieve a Pava produces its own olive oil and, in November, all those staying at the guest house have the opportunity to join in the harvesting of the fruit and to witness its transformation into Tuscany's "green gold".
